Oneill Cold Water classic Thurso 2010 kicks off today

The O'Neill Cold Water Classic (CWC) Scotland kicks-off today, in Thurso on Scotland's northern coast for its fifth consecutive edition. Known as the coldest surf contest on tour and attended by the world's best searching for extreme conditions and world class waves, the O'Neill CWC Scotland is the first event of this year's ASP European Star Series offering crucial ratings' points and a coveted US$ 145,000 prizepurse.

Having witnessed exceptional surf and fantastic battles over the years, the ASP 6-Star rated competition will once again see the gathering of some of the world's best surfing athletes, including former ASP World Champion Sunny Garcia (Oahu, HAW) and past event winners Adam Robertson (Victoria, AUS) and Russell Winter (Cornwall, GBR).
